The English language

Today we went walkabout in Seoul. We used our English/Korean map to decide where we wanted to go. We followed the dual/language street signs to find our way. We stopped at an ATM and pressed the "English" button and withdrew some money.  To buy tickets for the subway, we pressed the "English" button and listened to the instructions in English.  On the train, the stations were announced first in Korean and then in English. And so it went for the whole day: the palace, shopping, Starbucks, Seoul tower, you name it.  I suppose if America spoke Flemish, then Flemish would be the world's second language. Interesting.
